There is a particular tension to an extended horizontal shape. The eye stretches from one side to the other reacting to the effect of the patterns and colors forming lines pushing and pulling. All images are ultimately arbitrary compositions, they are mind fabrications, transient, unstable, uncertain. The compositions capture memories but record fiction. The ones we tell ourselves and the ones we offer to consumption.
